International women’s day is a great opportunity to celebrate female success and women’s achievements. We’d like to take this chance to celebrate some great venues that are female-run – just like we are!
We’re so proud of having a female CEO, Rebecca Kelly, that’s worked so hard to get to where she is today. We think it’s important to help and support other women in the industry and that’s why we wanted to put together a list of all the best venues run by some inspiring women.
Here they are, our absolute favourite spaces run by powerful and inspiring women. Take a moment to have a look and don’t forget to put these extraordinary spaces on your bucketlist because they’re all worth many visits.
This beautiful restaurant and multi-purpose space is flooded by natural light and serves up creative and inspiring dishes in a former power station. Inspiring duo Jemima Jones and Lucy Carr-Ellison, that also founded Tart London, a successful bespoke catering company, runs Wild by Tart with with great finesse. It’s a versatile locale that transformers throughout the day making it perfect for any food or beverage related needs you might have regardless of the time.

Zahra Khan runs this amazing space, also known as dessert heaven, where you get to build your own extra-everything-dessert. Entrepreneurial Khan has been listed on Forbes 30 under 30, just like our founder Rebecca Kelly! DYCE is situated next to her other celebrated concept, Feya, an exclusive boutique café. Both spaces are ambitious concepts with Instagramable interiors and delicious sweets, treats, and bites. It’s a venue that’s more than just beautifully created desserts, it’s a full experience. Don’t miss out on the bubble tea!

If you’re after a truly unique and special venue this space is just that. The Boathouse is a boutique hotel and event space that’s situated on multiple boats in Paddington. Currently, they’re expanding and will open a space in Angel soon. CEO and founder Cara Louise Furby runs this venue and she clearly knows what she’s doing as this space is completely different from other event spaces in London. We couldn’t recommend this venue more for events that need that extra special setting.

This traditional pub that many Clapham locals love to call their local is owned by Josephine Savry. The pub owner transformed the place from a traditional boozer to a more inclusive space when she took over. She wanted to challenge the traditionally male space that pubs often are and neutralise it. Savry undeniably did a good job making something ordinary extraordinary as thispub is one of the most warm and welcoming places in London.

Situated in the heart of Mayfair, their female member’s club is a majestic space located on Maddox Street. Boasting five floors including two huge roof terraces with views of the Mayfair skyline.
